BPerx is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement explains data collection and use practices of the information received in connection with visitors who interact with our website on www.BPerx.com (the “Website”). By accessing the Website, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this privacy statement.
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you.
Personal Information: In order to use our Website, you must first typically register or provide certain identifying information. For online registration, we ask you to provide contact details, such as first and last name, company or organization name, e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, etc.
Payment Information: BPerx may collect credit card information, checking account or other payment information, in order to complete your transaction(s).
We use the information you provide when placing an order to complete your magazine transaction. It is necessary to furnish this information to the publisher in order to fulfill your product selection, provide you with magazine subscription offers, and/or qualify you for third party offers. We may also use the information to provide you with information about your magazine subscriptions and other products and services. We may further provide your information to other businesses, which may sell other products and services, or use your information to offer you products and services of third parties. Because your information may be shared with third parties, the information will be governed by the privacy policies of the recipients of the information after it has been transferred. Furthermore, by using BPerx.com, you are agreeing to receive promotional mailings and emails from us. Each email from us will contain opt-out information. If you choose to opt-out, then you will be removed from our email list and will receive no future emails from us unless you opt-in again.
We may also disclose your personal information as we determine reasonably necessary to (a) comply with applicable law, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, (b) respond as necessary to actual or potential lawsuits, or (c) protect the rights and property of BPerx or others.
In the event of a sale or merger of BPerx or any of its affiliated companies, information we have collected as described in this policy may be among the transferred business assets.
Your web browser offers so-called “cookies” which, if you allow their use, store small amounts of data on your computer when you visit a website. Cookies do not contain any personal information about you and therefore cannot be used to identify you personally. However, cookies assist us in website optimization. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying your browser and our Website is viewable even if you disable the cookie function on your browser. However, if you disable cookies, some advanced and customized features or offerings will not be available to you. Some pages on our Website may contain electronic images known as web beacons, which are also called “single-pixel gifs.” These images allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We also may include web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to count how many messages have been opened and acted upon. Web beacons are not used to access your personal information, but they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about usage on our Website. Web beacons collect only a limited range of information, including the time and date of page view, cookie number and description of the page on which the web beacon resides. Our Website does not honor “Do Not Track” requests.
BPerx uses tracking software to observe user traffic patterns throughout the Website, but does not correlate tracking information with data about individual users. Tracking information is used only to determine which areas of our Website users like and don't like, and how well each page performs on behalf of our visitors. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We also monitor search terms and titles entered at our site as a means of knowing what interests our clients, but we do not track which terms a particular user enters.
BPerx uses a secure server, such as SSL, to encrypt all information you enter before it is transmitted to us. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
No data transmissions, or even the physical transfer of information, can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot fully eliminate all security risks associated with personal information and technical mistakes are possible. Therefore, we do not ensure or warrant the security of any data or information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.
If you do not wish to be contacted via email, direct mail or telephone, please let us know your preferences by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your name, mailing address, email address and/or telephone number so that we may identify you correctly. You may also unsubscribe from our email using the link provided in each email. If you ask us to remove you from promotional lists, we will maintain your name on a “Do Not Contact” list to ensure that we continue to honor your requests. Due to privacy concerns and our inability to verify individual requests and contact information, we are unable to honor "opt out" requests made by a third party on your behalf, unless the third party is a parent of a minor less than 14 years old. For removal from mailing lists, it may take up to ten business days to process your request and, due to the fact that mailings are planned long in advance, 60 days to process your postal mail request. When you interact with our Website to submit an order, we will continue to confirm such transactions via email and, if questions arise concerning your order, we may contact you via email, postal address or telephone number. If you change your mind about your choices, you may contact us and request to start receiving promotional communications from us again.
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83–1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal customer information we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for our direct marketing purposes. That notice will identify the categories of information shared and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses. If you are a California resident and would like a copy of this notice, please submit a written request to us (see Contact Us below). In your request, please include your postal address and specify that you want a “Your BPerx California Privacy Rights Notice.” Please allow at least 30 days for a response.
